Reference Data
Reference data populates many of the drop-down menus in Corsair. Corsair provides some reference data by default, but some you can customize.

Select a tab and enter the reference data name in the Search box.

Export your reference data search result to a CSV file
In the top right corner of the Reference Data page, select Export Search Result.
Note
The default reference data provided by Corsair displays on tabs as read-only lists.
However, you can add the following reference data:
Accessorials
Reference Number Type
Location Type
Contact Type
Service Incident Types
On the Reference Data page, select the Accessorials tab.
Select Create Accessorial.
In the New Accessorial dialog box, enter the accessorial information and select Save. See the "Accessorial Field Descriptions" below for more information about the accessorial fields.
Accessorial Field Descriptions
Field | Description |
---|---|
Accessorial Name | Enter a relevant name for the accessorial. |
Natural ID | The Natural ID is automatically created as you enter the accessorial name. NoteYou can edit the Natural ID only while creating the accessorial and before selecting Save. After the accessorial is created, the Natural ID is permanent, even if the accessorial name changes. |
Requestable | Select Yes to include the accessorial name in the various accessorial drop-down lists in Corsair. Select No to exclude the accessorial name from the various accessorial drop-down lists in Corsair. |
On the Reference Data page, select the Reference Number Type tab.
Select Create Reference Number Type.
In the New Reference Number Type dialog box, enter the reference number type information and select Save. See the "Reference Number Type Field Descriptions" below for more information about the reference number type fields.
Reference Number Type Field Descriptions
Field | Description |
---|---|
Reference Number Type Name | The name of the reference number type. |
Natural ID | The Natural ID is automatically created as you enter the reference number type name. NoteYou can edit the Natural ID only while creating the reference number type and before selecting Save. After the reference number type is created, the Natural ID is permanent, even if the reference number type name changes. |
Reference Number Value Type | The type of user interface element to display in Corsair, such as a text box or a drop-down list. |
Assign to My Domain | Assign the reference number type to your domain in the hierarchy. |
Levels | The levels where the reference number type displays. |
Display by Default? | The reference number type displays by default at the levels you selected. |
Allow Multiple? | Allows multiple instances of the reference number type to be selected. |
Add Share | Select Add Share to give a subdomain permission to view the reference number type. |
On the Reference Data page, select the Location Type tab.
Select Create Location Type.
In the New Location Type dialog box, enter location type information and select Save. See the "Location Type Field Descriptions" below for more information about the location type fields.
Location Type Field Descriptions

On the Reference Data page, select the Contact Type tab.
Select Create Contact Type.
In the New Contact Type dialog box, enter contact type information and select Save. See the "Contact Type Field Descriptions" below for more information about the location type fields.
