Exey AI Assistant

Exey is the X1 AI Assistant expert in all X1 and enterprise engineering aspects. Exey is trained on a large corpus of X1-related documents, so it's a powerful tool for assisting users in building integrations, answering questions about X1, providing guidance, reviewing work, explaining components, and more.

Exey can search for and answer questions about operational data, including endpoints, processors, translators, routers, integrations, trading partners, and more.

Ask Exey a question, and it'll search the knowledge base for the answer. For example, you can ask Exey, "Are there any endpoints that use the FTP protocol?" Exey will search the database and answer your question with its search results.

Exey chat window

To open the chat window, in the top right corner of any page, select Exey.png. The Exey chat window opens where you can enter your questions and receive answers in real time.

To clear the chat window at any time, select New Chat.

To close the chat window, do any of the following:

  • Select collapse_exey_window.png in the top right corner of the chat window.

  • Press Esc on your keyboard.

Exey contextual help

To access contextual help for whatever you view in the X1 interface, select the Include current context switch in the Exey chat window. This includes the current context for the chat window so that Exey provides more relevant answers to your questions.

To omit the current context, select the Include current context switch again.

For example, if you're working on an endpoint and want Exey to explain it or review it before you save, open the Exey chat and select the Include current context switch. Then enter your prompt in the message box and select send_message.png to send the message. Exey provides a relevant answer based on the context of the endpoint you're working on.

Note

If you want a general description of any page you're viewing, type the word this in the Exey chat window and select send_message.png.

If you want deeper details of any page you're viewing, type the word this followed by the type of X1 configuration, component, and such that you're viewing. For example, this endpoint or this processor

Exey explanations

Some components in X1 have an Explain option. This option opens the Exey chat window and attaches the context of the component you're viewing. Exey explains the component, and you can ask follow-up questions to get more information.

Tips to get the most out of Exey
  • Be specific: The more specific your question is, the more accurate Exey's answer will be.

  • Include context: When asking questions about a specific component, include the context by typing this or selecting Include Current Contextin the chat window.

  • Use key terms: Use terms relevant to your need for help. When searching, use terms like "Find...", "Search..." and "Show me..." to help Exey understand what you are looking for. When getting help with how X1 works, use terms like "In X1, how do I...", "What are...", "How can I...".

  • Check responses: Exey can make mistakes, so always double-check the information provided by Exey to ensure it is accurate and relevant to your needs.
