Brokers
The Brokers page is where you can view and add brokers for your domain and subdomains. This way, you can ensure that your domain and subdomains have access to the same group of brokers.
On the Brokers page, select a broker name to view it.
On the Brokers page, you can search for a specific broker using the Search box.

In the top right corner of the Brokers page, select Add Broker.
In the Add Broker dialog box, a predefined list of brokers displays.
Enter the broker's name:
If the broker's name is in the predefined carrier list, you can select it and then select Import a Broker. The Broker page displays with some general information about the broker, such as its name.
If the broker's name is not in the predefined carrier list, select Create Broker. The Broker page displays for you to enter all of the broker’s information.
On the Broker page, enter the broker information and select Create. See the "Add Broker Field Descriptions" below for more information about the broker fields.

General Information section |

Name | The name of the broker. |
SCAC | Standard Carrier Alpha Code. A unique two to four-letter identification code assigned to transportation organizations. |
DOT Number | The broker's DOT number. |
MC Number | The broker's Motor Carrier number. |
Operation Information section | NoteAfter you add the broker: If you have a commercial integration with DAT CarrierWatch, you'll see the DAT branding and the Import a Broker button in the top-right of the Broker page. Select Import a Broker to access the broker's information from DAT CarrierWatch. The broker's information will auto-populate in the Operation Information section. |
Equipment Types | The type of vehicle used by a carrier that the broker tenders to transport the freight from pickup to delivery. |
Modes | Select one or more modes, such as TL, LTL, parcel, and such. |
Service Levels | The broker's service level, such as Standard or Expedited. |
Operating Status | The broker's operating status, such as Active or Inactive. |
Operating States | The states that the broker operates in. |
Operation Type | The operation type that the broker is licensed for. |
# Of Drivers | The number of drivers for the broker. |
# Of Power Units | The number of power units for the broker. |
DOT Safety Rating | The broker's DOT safety rating. |
DOT Common Authority | The broker's status with the DOT regarding its permission to provide transportation services. |
DOT Contract Authority | The broker's status with the DOT regarding its permission to provide transportation services to specific entities under contracts. |
DOT Broker Authority | The broker's DOT authority regarding how it's involved in hauling freight or equipment originating from one state to another state. |
Sharing section | |
Add Share | Select Add Share to give a subdomain permission to view the broker. |
Assigned Contacts section | |
Add Contact | Select Add New to assign another contact to the broker. You can set a contact type so the assigned contact can serve purposes such as being an alternate contact to the primary, answering billing questions, and so on. |
Insurance Information section | |
Liability Insurance Coverage Amount / Liability Insurance Expiration Date | The details of the liability insurance. |
Cargo Insurance Coverage Amount / Cargo Insurance Expiration Date | The details of the cargo insurance. |
