Buy Additional Cargo Insurance for a Shipment

Corsair provides a way for you to get a cargo insurance quote and then buy additional cargo insurance through LoadSure.

You can buy additional cargo insurance only in shipments with one of the following statuses:

Cargo insurance must be purchased before a shipment is picked up.

A commercial integration between Corsair and LoadSure is required before you can buy additional cargo insurance.

In the sidebar, select Settings > Commercial Integrations.
On the Commercial Integrations page, in the LoadSure section, select Set Up.
Enter the following information:
- LoadSure Account Number - Optionally enter an account number if you have one.
- LoadSure Additional Authorized User Emails - Enter one or more email addresses for authorized users.
Select Create > Save.

In the sidebar, select Corsair TMS > Shipment. The Shipments page displays a list of all shipments.
In the ID column, select the Shipment ID of a shipment. The Details for Shipment page displays.
On the map, select Get Insurance Quote from the drop-down list.
In the Cargo Insurance Quote dialog box, enter the quote information and select Get Quote. See the "Cargo Insurance Quote Field Descriptions" below for more information about the insurance quote fields.
Note
You can assign the same person as the insured contact every time you buy cargo insurance.
Create the person as a Contact with a contact type of Insured. Their personal information will then auto populate in the Cargo Insurance Quote dialog box each time you buy cargo insurance.
The insurance quote information displays. Select the acknowledgment check boxes and select Purchase. The Cargo Insurance Quote dialog box displays.
Verify your cargo insurance quote information and select Done.

Cargo Insurance Quote Field Descriptions

Field	Description
Equipment Type	The type of vehicle used to transport the cargo from pickup to delivery.
Commodity	The commodity category of the cargo.
Coverage Limit	The dollar amount of insurance coverage you want.
Company Name	The name of the company securing the insurance coverage (the insured).
Email	The insured's email address.
Address Line 1	The insured's street address.
City	The insured's city.
State	The insured's state.
Postal Code	The insured's postal code (ZIP code).
Country	The insured's country.

On the Details for Shipment page, the Cargo Insurance section contains the insurance coverage details.

Select View Certificate to view a PDF document of the insurance coverage for the shipment.

In the sidebar, select Corsair TMS > Shipment. The Shipments page displays a list of all shipments.
In the ID column, select the Shipment ID of a shipment. The Details for Shipment page displays.
In the Cargo Insurance section, select File Claim in the drop-down list. The LoadSure website portal displays.
Verify the claim information and select to file the claim.

In the sidebar, select Corsair TMS > Shipment. The Shipments page displays a list of all shipments.
In the ID column, select the Shipment ID of a shipment. The Details for Shipment page displays.
In the Cargo Insurance section, select Cancel Policy in the drop-down list. The Cancel Cargo Insurance dialog box displays.
Select a cancellation reason and select Cancel Cargo Insurance.
